MAKER / FLANDERS

Established in 2016, Maker / Flanders brought together Flanders Cycles, Kern Cycling and Maker Fine Coffee around a shared goal: supporting riders and creating opportunities within Australian racing.

The team gave developing riders the chance to race in a structured environment across road, criterium and cyclocross, including events such as the Mitchelton Bay Crits, the National Road Championships and the Tour of Bright.

For Paul Redenbach, it was another step in building a racing program around experience, development and support — helping riders progress while strengthening the connection between Flanders and the Australian cycling community.

THE TEAM

Maker / Flanders was built around a mix of experience and emerging talent, giving developing riders the opportunity to race within a supported team environment.

The program created opportunities to compete at a high level while learning from more experienced riders and being part of a team with a shared commitment to racing and progression.

PART OF A BIGGER STORY

Maker / Flanders became one chapter in a racing story that continued to evolve through Flanders / Jblood and, today, the Maxxis Flanders Race Team.

Each program has been different, but the philosophy behind them has remained consistent — supporting riders, creating opportunities and staying connected to the racing community.
